This project focused on rebranding Leicester Cultural Quarter - a vibrant hotspot for creatives, boasting theatres, cinemas, workshops, restaurants and bars.
After visiting the area, I noticed that despite the clear sense of community, there were not many signposts to distinguish the neighbourhood from other sectors of the city. To solve this, I created an interchangeable fox mascot, with a paintbrush tail (named ‘Lester’).
The use of a fox (vocal at night time and the animal of Leicester), and a creative tool helps to establish the Quarter as a key part of the city, that offers peaceful creativity and exciting nightlife.
This work was picked to be exhibited at the LCB 20 Design Festival.
